With the holidays winding down we are reflecting on the our first few months open and looking to the year ahead.
Our classes are picking up attendance, and our holiday classes seemed to be a hit. We received positive feedback as to how the classes are taught.
A new year means new products. We have finally heard back from some yarn suppliers and we are excited for the products we will be carrying. The take-home kits are a hit, and we are looking forward to starting up a menu of in-store kits as well. These will include supplies, instructions, and use of our shop tools.
We have had several people inquire about classes to learn techniques of shading, water color, and other fine art techniques. So, to supply the demand, we are looking at classes in the long term, which includes possible "summer school" classes such as color theory, multi-week watercolor courses, and other fine art courses. We are continuing to work with the other businesses in the Basin to bring fun and exciting events, such as our Galentine's Day event in February. Once we finalize details we will be sure to let you all know. A ladies night with flowers, cookies, chocolate, and mocktails sounds delightful; and I am looking forward to that.
We were gifted some very generous donations of scrapbooking supplies and crafting supplies. This means we can start our Scrap Book Social sooner than later. And the craft during the summer Farmer's Market will be more varied.
Lastly, changes to our sister-store, the NW Makers Market, are also coming. Just before Christmas they had some new vendors come in with products for all ages. And with the new year the store will get a sprucing up, so look for a new store layout in January.
We thank you all for your support as we jumped in to providing a creative environment in the Klamath Basin. Whether it be for a class or just our Crafternoons, we look forward to seeing you soon.
